Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Modern AI Engineering (modernaiengineering.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and collect only what the course needs.

1. Who we are

Modern AI Engineering is run by Mayank Karajgi, an individual based in India, trading as Modern AI Engineering. For anything in this policy, write to support@modernaiengineering.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only the following:

  • Account details: your name and email address, and a password if you sign up with email (we never see or store the password itself; it is handled by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture.
  • Learning data: which lessons you have passed, your best quiz scores, your final exam score, the profile text you choose to write, and Python files you save in the Practice editor.
  • Plan status: which plan you have, its billing period and when it ends. We do not see or store your card or bank details; those go directly to our payment provider.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard request logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
  • Settings in your browser: your theme, the lesson you last opened and, if you are not signed in, your progress. These stay on your device.

3. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

  • To create your account and keep you signed in.
  • To save your progress and scores and show them back to you, including on your certificate.
  • To give you access to the plan you bought.
  • To answer your messages and send essential notices about your account.
  • To keep the site secure and fix problems.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data for us only to run the site:

  • Supabase: stores accounts, progress and saved files, and handles sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosts the website.
  • Google: provides "Continue with Google" sign-in and the fonts the site loads.
  • Dodo Payments: processes payments for paid plans, once checkout is available.

5. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores a sign-in session and your preferences in your browser using local storage. You can clear them in your browser settings; you will then be signed out and your theme will reset.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, progress and saved files within 30 days, except where we must keep a record of a payment for tax or legal reasons.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email support@modernaiengineering.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the GDPR also give you these rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that apply industry-standard protections. Each learner can read and change only their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Where data is processed

Our providers may process data in countries other than where you live, including India, the United States and the European Union.

10. Children

Modern AI Engineering is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
